Praga is situated on the right side of Vistula River and is one of the oldest Warsaw’s district. The origin of its name comes from places being previously overgrown with trees which next been blazed down (to blaze down – prażyć (pl), Prażanie (pl) – residents of Praga) for crops. Even though Praga was destroyed over the centuries it keeps of its pre-war nature in majority. Nowadays it has become a cultural heart of Warsaw, the place where many artists live and work.  Praga is gladly visited by tourists, fascinates them with its authenticity and unique atmosphere.
